PARENTS TEACHERS MEETING

A PTM was held on 12th October, 2019 to discuss the performance of students with their parents.  Parents were shared the feedback for Periodic Test 1 & Half Yearly Exam, of their wards.  It was a great interaction between the teachers & parents for the development of their children.  The discussion involved strengths & the areas of improvements over the sharing of report cards.  The PTM came to an end with the conclusion that the progress of students depends on the joint efforts of  parents & teachers.

FIT INDIA MOVEMENT
A nationwide campaign “FIT INDIA MOVEMENT” that aims at encouraging people to include physical activities and sports in their everyday lives, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Fit India Movement on 29th August, 2019 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event was broadcasted live by Doordarshan through DD National, DD News & DD India.
A special arrangement was made in the Sulabh School Premises so that all the students can view the direct speech given by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on this special day. In this way, school students were made more aware and sensitize about the significance of Yoga and Sports.
Keeping in view the significance of Yoga, Sulabh Public School also has set specific fitness goals.  Students are being encouraged to be the part of Yoga activities done in the school premises on daily basis. Students are also being informed that small positive changes in their lifestyle can bring massive benefits.  It is the need of the hour to change our mindset when it comes to fitness.

RASHTRIYA POSHAN MAAH
The entire month of September, 2019 was celebrated as “Nutrition Month / Poshan Maah” in Sulabh Public School. To spread awareness among the students short speech was given in the morning assembly by the teachers and the students on the topics like under nutrition, anemia among children, untimely eating, etc.  Posters and slogan were displayed by the students on balanced diet, healthy food habits, hand-wash, nutritious food, etc.  This Poshan Maah was celebrated with the aim of combating malnutrition through information on health and nutrition.

Ozone Layer Painting Competition was organized by Sulabh Envis in our school campus om 16th September, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  It was held keeping in view the significance of ozone Layer which protects the Earth from ultraviolet rays of the Sun. Children from classes VI, VII & VIII gave vent to their imagination & aesthetic exploration creating magical expressions on the paper with the vivid vision on how to conserve Ozone Layer of our Earth.  The result of this competition was announced on the same day.  Aryan Singh of class VII secured the 1st position out of 60 odd students.  Saloni & Adarsh of class VII secured 2nd & 3rd positions respectively.  In this way the students of our school moved one more step further towards Swachchta Campaign.

To emphasize the Clarion Call of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak-the founder of Sulabh International, inspired his volunteers & students to keep going the great drive on 12th &  13th Sept.,2019. The associates initiated the campaign in Sulabh Premises at 9 a.m.  Various areas in Delhi were covered to spread the awareness to shun single use plastic.  The young students had great zeal to take the mission forward & educate the society. Placards,banners,cloth bags gave the loud & apparent message.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our talented students are proving themselves in the Sports and Cultural Activities. They have won prizes as medals, mementos and cash in various cultural activities held at Inter-school and Zonal levels.

Play Shows being an art of conveying messages effectively, few of our students had performed stage shows enacting on Social- Problems and Solutions and made the public aware about it.

The Electoral Literacy Club has been set up in the school by the recommendation of District Electoral Officer. An Electoral Literacy Club is a platform to engage school students through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitize them on their electoral rights and familiarize them with the electoral process of registration and voting.  Our IX & X students performed a short play to guide their peers about the VOTING RIGHTS & DUTIES on 23rd August, 2019.
